Multipattern Running Lights Using 8051 Microcontroller

April 11th, 2009 No comments

This Project Multi-Pattern Running light is used to generate several designs of Running Lights. We use ten LEDs for display. The designs can be selected by using two switches UP and DOWN. The 8 bit Microcontroller is used to control all the operations. It control the LEDs though the Ports.
The above system is monitored and controlled by the 8 bit microcontroller AT89C2051. The Microcontroller continuously monitors the Switches and switch on/off the LEDs according to the Program. The Power for the circuit is derived from the Step down transformer and the 5V regulator IC7805. The regulator IC produces a constant 5v output.

PC BASED DATA LOGGER (AT89S52 + Simple Visual Basic)

April 11th, 2009 No comments

Data acquisition is the process by which events in the real world are sampled and translated into machine-readable signals. Data acquisition typically involves sensors, transmitters and other instruments to collect signals, waveforms etc. to be processed and analyzed with a computer. Simple circuit to fetch data from temprature sensors and display it on pc using a visual basic program.

The components of data acquisition systems include appropriate sensors that convert any measurement parameter to an electrical signal, which is acquired by data acquisition hardware. Acquired data typically is displayed, analyzed, and stored on a PC. In our project the Temperature data was monitored by using the Microcontroller & PC. The Project has an Inbuilt Data logger which is used to Log the Temperature data on the PC.

A data logger is any device that can be used to store data. This includes many data acquisition devices such as plug-in boards or serial communication systems which use a computer as a real time data recording system. The Microcontroller AT89S52 has 8K Bytes of In-System Programmable (ISP) Flash Memory. 8051 Microcontroller Project for beginners

74XX – PC Based Digital IC Tester using 8051 Microcontroller

April 11th, 2009 1 comment

This project is used to check the Basic logic gates (AND, OR, NOT, NAND, NOR, EX-OR).
You can check the following IC’s
7400, 7402, 7404, 7408, 7432, 7486
Visual Basic Program is used to show the results on the PC.
The Microcontroller AT89S52 receives the IC number from the PC and check the Gates IC with the Truth table and sent back the result to the PC.

Temperature controlled Fan 8051 Microcontroller – Assembly Project

April 11th, 2009 1 comment

This Project is used to control the Fan speed according to the temperature and it also indicates the temperature. The system will get the temperature from the IC (DS1820) and it will control the speed according the values stored in the code.

The System is fully controlled by the microcontroller AT89S52. It is a popular 8 bit microcontroller.
All the above functions are monitored and controlled by the 8 bit microcontroller AT89S52 / 8051.

A simple electronic buzzer

April 11th, 2009 No comments

This very simple circuit just uses a couple of resistors, a capacitor and the easily available 555 timer IC.
The 555 is setup as an astable multivibrator operating at a frequency of about 1kHz that produces a shrill noise when switched on. The frequency can be changed by varying the 10K resistor.
